LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR SOUL
Love God With All Your Soul
“Bless the Lord, my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.”
— Psalm 103:1 (NASB 2025)
To love God with all your soul means offering your entire being—your identity, breath, and life—to Him. It’s deeper than emotion. It’s a life that says, “Every part of me belongs to You.” Worship becomes more than a song—it becomes a way of existing.
Faith In Action
During World War II, Corrie ten Boom and her sister Betsie were imprisoned in Ravensbrück concentration camp for hiding Jews. Amid starvation and disease, Betsie whispered one night, “There is no pit so deep that He is not deeper still.” She even thanked God for the fleas because they kept the guards away and allowed them to hold secret Bible studies.
The Bottom Line
To love God with your soul is to worship Him even in the darkest places. It’s choosing to cling to Him when everything else is stripped away. God is never absent from our difficulties. Often times we choose to focus on the problem and not on Him.
Something To Think About
Is my love for God dependent on my circumstances—or is it rooted in who He is, no matter what I feel?
What problems are you facing that you loathe or cause you to despair? Do you see God in the midst of your testing? Are you looking for Him or focusing too much on your problem?
If you find it difficult to see God, or His hand at work, are you willing to ask God to help you see beyond your circumstances?
